Alcohol Consumption While On Tour:

Guidelines

Moderate alcohol consumption among adolescents remains an accepted cultural convention
throughout much of Continental Europe. Such consumption, therefore, if in a relatively controlled environment, may be seen as an integral part of a student traveler's experience.

Regardless of these cultural conventions, however, deciding whether or not to allow the moderate consumption of alcohol while on tour is at the sole discretion of each student traveler’s parent(s) or guardian(s).

During the final Pre-Departure Meeting, each student traveler’s parent(s) or guardian(s) will be asked to initial and sign an Alcohol Consumption Form indicating whether or not the moderate consumption of alcohol is authorized.

EF Policy

Although the EF Alcohol Policy is more stringent, Redhawk Texpeditions Travel Team Members communicate our expectations regarding alcohol consumption with each of our EF-provided Tour Director(s) as soon as they are identified to ensure that our expectations are clearly understood, as well as consistently, effectively, and fairly enforced throughout our itinerary.

Consequence of Noncompliance

Note that the unauthorized consumption of alcohol, or the consumption of hard liquor, may result in disciplinary action to include immediate expulsion from the tour at the expense of the student traveler's parent(s) or guardian(s) in accordance with EF Tours policy.
