General Arrival Day Information:

We'll typically arrive at our initial destination early to mid-morning. Once we deplane, Chaperones will account for their Student Travelers and conduct a passport check. The Group Leader will then lead everyone first to baggage claim, then to passport control. Should a traveler encounter any issues (lost or damaged baggage, additional screening, etc.) a Travel Team member will stay to accompany them further.

Our Tour Director(s), who will stay with us 24/7 until we return to the United States, will meet us once we clear customs and provide us with further instructions.

If we're part of a larger group split over more than one flight, we may need to wait for the other travelers in our group to arrive. Once our group is formed, we'll load up and most likely head to our hotel to offload our luggage. Note that we'll not actually be checking in to our hotel until later in the evening, at this point we're simply storing our luggage.

Rather than taking time to rest, our tour starts immediately; the best way to beat jet lag and adjust to a new time zone is by waiting to rest until evening. Our Tour Director(s) may lead us on a walking tour of our arrival city, provide us with free time to enjoy lunch and additional exploration, or direct us to any other events scheduled for the first day of our tour. We'll then gather for dinner before transferring back to our hotel for the evening.
