Transfer to Paris
May 29, 2026
Today we'll journey by Eurostar train to the city of Paris – where art, architecture, cuisine, and history will spring to life as we immerse ourselves in the incomparable City of Light! We’ll stroll the tangled, cobblestone streets of the vibrant and eclectic Latin Quarter, perhaps stopping to browse at Shakespeare and Company, once the favorite haunt of Lost Generation author Ernest Hemingway. Later, we’ll gaze up at the gothic splendor of Notre Dame’s twin bell towers, visit the world-famous Louvre museum, and relax as we cruise the placid Seine river.
Morning: This morning we’ll travel by Eurostar train to Paris, a two-hour and 15-minute transit that will take us under the English Channel. We will arrive at the train station approximately one hour before departure. Luggage space is limited on trains; please remember to pack lightly and have your passports available for check-in. Upon arrival in Paris remember to adjust your watches and other timepieces ahead one hour as we’re leaving Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and entering Central European Time (CET).
Afternoon: Lunch will be on our own followed by a Tour Director-led walking tour of the Latin Quarter, which will end on Île de la Cité where we’ll see the incomparable Notre Dame cathedral. We will then take a two-hour self-guided tour of the Louvre.
Evening: This evening we’ll enjoy a 90-minute cruise along the Seine River followed by dinner at a local restaurant after which we'll be returning to our hotel.
