Tipping Guidelines

General Tipping Guidelines:

Tipping expectations, as well as tipping etiquette, varies widely from continent to continent, country to country, and even from industry to industry. Within the travel industry, it is customary to tip the service providers responsible for handling logistical operations on a daily basis.

As your tour nears departure, your Tour Leader will share the total tipping amount due and also how the amount is to be collected, usually electronically or in-person during the final Pre-Departure Meeting. Student travelers will not need to carry this money with them nor will they be responsible for its disbursement.

Tour Directors

Redhawk Texpeditions follows EF Tours' tipping guidelines and will collect as well as disburse $8.00 per traveler per day for our each of Tour Directors.

Bus Drivers

Redhawk Texpeditions follows EF Tours' tipping guidelines and will collect as well as disburse $3.00 per traveler per day for each of our Bus Drivers.

Local Guides

Redhawk Texpeditions follows EF Tours' tipping guidelines and will collect as well as disburse $2.00 per traveler per day for each of our Local Guides.

15-Day Itinerary

Total: $177.00 per traveler

Tour Director:

$8 per day
per traveler

$8 per day x 15 days
= $120 per traveler

Bus Driver:

$3 per day
per traveler

$3 per day x 15 days
= $45 per traveler

Local Guides:

$2 per local guide
per traveler

$2 per guide x 6 guides
= $12 per traveler
